Trackday

Finally got the tard out on a dry track, great day! need new toe sliders! didn't really grind pegs either but i did stop when the toes were dragging. great fun bike on the track, gets a bit squirmy at times but thats fun. got my rear wearing real nice and even. from the road all i ended up doing was adding a bit of comp on the rear. 1/2 turn preload on the front and re-adjusted rebound to suit. all good.

without serious commitment I'm way too short to get a knee down on this thing, maybe if i had higher pegs and i can get my knee further out. Had the rev light flashing at me in 6th down the straight too, 240kph something! i had my chin on the key and with a fast first turn 1 i wasn't too worried about looking

016's are VERY sticky at the edges, the 014 front was weak compared to it. can't wait to swap it.

if i hang off the bike more i can't touch the peg on the high side, hence not! higher pegs required. well happy with lean angle and corner speed I could change line no worries and come out inside people or round the outside. I can lean it further on the tires was just taking it easy..

Did you have trouble dodging all the words and letters on the track?
Looks like you had fun.

He's short (like me). What he's saying is that the Hyper's pegs are too low for him to keep his outside foot on the peg if he were to lean off the bike any further in the corners.

yeah what he said ^^^^

to get off the bike I have to have my knee pit on the corner of the seat, so either the seat is too high or the pegs are too low. my money is on the pegs. I didn't seem to be hanging about so i was happy.

Excellent! looks like you had a lot of fun. The hyper is great fun on a tight(er) track.. Buy, rear sets you won' tregret it. IMHO that is the one REQUIRED mod (well and the rear hugger to protect the Ohlins shock) for these bikes. The stock pegs SUCK ASS. they are WAY too low! Oh and about the wiggle.. my bike got a lot more stable after I had my suspension set up by a professional at my last track day..
As far as getting your knee down.. F that.. this bike is more fun if you ride it like a supermoto..
