Can the 2-1 ECU be used on more than 1 bike??

Hi all,

I know this has been discussed and I seem to remember that the DP EVO 2-1 ECU can be used on one Hyper and then transferred to another. I ask because I'm selling an ECU that was installed on my Hyper and have been told by a fellow Duc'r that it is now keyed to my bike and will NOT work on any other bike.

I need to confirm one way or the other so I don't sell somebody something that will not work for them.

Please advise!!!!!

Thanks!

Yes, it will work fine. Hyper ECUs are not keyed. Just reset TPS, adjust trim, and your good to go.

Absolutely. I believe - but am not sure - that it will also work with some of the Sport Classics and Monsters.

You might have to do some research, but if it can be used then it'll widen your market.

Even with red key bikes you could re-use the ECU as long as you didn't "key" the new ECU when it was installed.

With a red key bike, the best advice you can get is to lock that red key away the day you take delivery of the bike. Never use the key, never lose the key, just make sure it's always there for when you eventually sell or trade the bike. If you keep the red key locked up somewhere, you won't be able to do anything stupid with it.

Alex and Marco just ran the stock exhaust with the cams ecu at Laguna Seca and they did great. The 2-1 ecu would be awesome with the slip-on. Of course that's my humble opinion as someone selling an ecu

I imagine it'll work on an 848 too.As far as I know the 848 runs the same ECU as the Hyper believe it or not.At least this is the info I got from Technoresearch(the makers of the VDST).My VDST works great on my buddies 848.
