Life in the country
One of the last warm evenings till March (sigh!) in VA, so after work this evening, out for a 50 mile ride on the Hyper. Almost all back roads, most narrow enough to not qualify for a yellow line or any other markings.
The Hyper headlight (with PIAA Extreme White) is OK, no BMW, but enough to do the job. With the less than daylight headlight, it made a good evening to not push it too much. Deer here galore. If I'm going to go hunting, I'll use a shotgun, thanks, not a 400 pound bike & my arse. Wheelies over rises are sporting with a not so great light.
For commuting, like today, I typically ride the late model BMW K1200GT the 20 miles to work. The 1st mile or so on the Hyper feels like riding a unicycle - nothing out front of me. Of course, the Hyper also feels completely tiny after riding the copper queen.

Yup.
Ducks get the AR-10.
I hear he hunts bears with a sharpened stick, though.

we used to mount our paint-ball guns on our quads and chase each other around. It was fun until we get home and had to clean up all the paint and explain to our wifes that those bruises are not hickys

Yup, in Virginia, east if I-95, shotguns only. Too flat for a .30-06 range. Boys here roll out of the truck, beer in one hand, 12 gauge w/ slug in the other, and then let the dogs run. Walk 20 feet away from the road & sit quietly w/ the beer, listening to the hounds bawling.
I have hit deer at my house with a ball (the one the dog chases) to keep them out of the corn I put out for my geese.
I also hit a deer with a BMW R1100S at 60mph a few years ago about 3/4 mile away from the house. Deer's shoulder broken, I didn't come off!! Yes. BMW 1 Deer Nothing.
