How do you guys do it...???

I haven't rode my bike since it's been cold. I went 9 years without a bike. It wasn't bad, because I didn't have a bike to ride. But, since I have a Hyper, and can't ride it due to the weather, it's really driving me nuts. I have other hobbies that occupy my free time, but occupy isn't satisfying. Man, I need to get out and ride. Tomorrow it's going to be warm enough to get out for a short ride after work, but back to cold weather again on Tuesday. This Friday, I'm having back surgery, so I won't be able to ride for a few weeks anyway even if the weather is warm. I'm just wondering how some of you guys up north cope with the off season..???

I just needed to vent a little...

What kept you in today? I took mine out for a 20 mile ride in the 43 degree weather here in NJ. Felt good to get out there even if I was shivering by the time I got home.

You gotta get one of these too!

You can't get enough power sports equipment, tools, or firearms.

Out!

I went for a 20 minute ride today too because it was so cold. I think it was 50 degrees or so!! I would have gone farther but I had other things to do, not because of the weather. It will be raining here for the next 3 days but we'll be out terrorizing the common men next weekend!!

Werloc would probably be riding that even less than the Hyper with so little snow around here in this part of NJ.

Bob I know the feeling. It's been a couple of weekend with the weather cold here. 25 degrees this am in LI. I take it for a quick ride in the afternoon if I am free.
I used to ride everyweekend no matter what (except rain snow, ice). The worst I did few years back, was 17 degrees. I left the bike outside for 1/2 hour and it was so cold that it never started.
Now I am getter older and wiser (!!!) and between the kids to take care of, the stuff to do in the house to winterize... I did not ride for the last 3 weeks.
I am working on the bikes, do some oil changes, change some part, reading this forum, I have 5 bikes to work on to keep me busy.
- HM : oil change done, all accessories on. Stabilizer installed.
- 848 : waiting for the sharkskin to come, paint and install. Oil change done. - Radar detector mount done. Few little things to change.
- KTM : just ordered the oil, oil filter, etc... to do the service. I want to plan a trip on dirt road to the West (TAT or something in UT for this summer or next). So I will start soon thinking about it and looking for options/prep.
- Hondas 70 and Yam 125 to be serviced next.

I cannot ride during weekday. Last weekend I travelled to Europe for business. Next weekend I have to take a LI ride. Because of kids schedule I can only ride early am (in the 20's) or late evening (dark).

BUT WHAT I MISS THE MOST IS THE TRACK WITH THE 848....

Soon we will be riding together...4,5 months to wait

I rip around on the Hyper in the underground parking at my condo once a week. Satisfies the craving somewhat but I cant wait for spring!!! So I go up north and snowmobile.
