Febur oil cooler
Well, I'm the first on my block to get the Febur oversized Hypermotard oil cooler. It's about 9 1/2 inches wide, 4 inches high and 1 5/16 inches thick. The NCR cooler on my Paul Smart is about 9 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches high, also the NCR is missing the fitting on the top of the cooler. Haven't measure the stock yet.

A while back there was a thread about a lower cost alternative, but that thread ,it seems, has died. The Febur cooler is beautiful, what did it cost?
Keep us posted on the temp drop once it's installed. As soon as summer rolls around,I think this mod will be at the top of my list!

Ditto.....
I'm interested in getting a oil cooler soon, I have seen the NCR one in person,
really nice, really pricy, but they offer the cooler as a kit that comes with
oversized oil lines, I was quoted $760.00 US, and will take 1 to 1 1/2 months
to get it.
Where did you get yours? how much? and do they have an oversized oil line kit
as a option as well? TIA Alex

The Febur cooler was about $500 including shipping (1 week) from Italy, they also have oil lines. Alex when I ordered my NCR cooler it took just 3 day to get it. I got snow coming, so I'll be installing as so has I fab a screen to protect the cooling fins.

Thanks, for the info, but who did you order the Febur from? I think the curved oil cooler looks better than the NCR one, but since you have both of them, money NOT being part of the equation, which one do you think is made better?
and which looks like it might cool better? Thanks Alex

Alex, I ordered the oil cooler direct from Febur, dealing with Fabrizio Ferri, the general manager. First via e-mail, then a couple of calls to Italy. The quality of the Febur equals the NCR, the only difference, is the Febur has all the connections needed for the Hypermotard. One thing the NCR has, is the laser NCR logo on the side of the cooler. I also dealt direct with NCR when I ordered the oil cooler and other NCR items I got for my Paul Smart. It's got the cooler, seat, adjustable triple clamps and billet bits from NCR. The NCR triples aren't shown in this picture.

Mooner~ A couple of questions...
did you order the febur online or via email? I'll be damned if I can find it on their website.
What did you do about the missing tap for the temperature pickup on the NCR?
I got one of what seems to be an NCR reseller off eBay and I regret buying it. 1. It looks like it should cost 1/4 of what it did & 2. no tap for the hookup.

The Febur site has on line shopping, but doesn't work for sales to the US. So I did emails and phone calls. The NCR works great on other air cooled bikes that don't have the temperature pick-up, like my Paul Smart and other Sport Classics.

Mooner, does someone at Febur speak english? or do you speak Italian?
So the NCR cooler does not allow for the Hyper's oil temp pick-up? (WTF!)
could you post the phone # to Febur? Thanks Alex
