Time for fresh rubber
Any new feedback on the Bridgestone 016? Corsa III is just fine but it's
hard to beat the price on the Bridgestones.

I rode with a guy recently on his FZ1. He has been running them for close to 6K miles and he really likes them. A few reports I have read say the same. I am going to stick with the PP 2CTs, but I may have to give the 016s a look. Allen has a set he is going to stick on his Hyper, I will wait for his feedback.
Out!

I put a rear 016 on my Hyper last summer and got 7000 k's so far and 6000 of those was on a one week trip. It rained lots as well and it seemed a bit squirly on the highway, but not having ridden in the rain too much it may have been just my confidence. Around the city in the wet felt just as good as the 014 that came with the bike. Should have at least another 1000 k's then a new 016 for the next trip

08Hyper ran 'em at our Laguna Seca trackday. He said he really enjoyed them - predictable, comfortable, sticky, etc.
I looked at his tires after every session - they were being worked to THE MAX and they appeared to be holding up fairly well.

Thanks for "MY" tire review!
Yep Marco's right, for me the Bridgestones BTO16 front and back were AWSOME!! great grip, good feedback, and really gave me a secure feeling at the track, much better than the POS PP 2CT's I was running before.
I think they as good or better than the Corsa's III, which are great tires, also they cost a lot less than the Corsa's III, the only thing is I not sure on the tire mileage, I will post up the mileage when they are toast, Aloha Alex

Is the BT016 model stickier than the BT014?
I ran a set of BT014's on my old R6 and I didn't like them at all. They took forever to heat up. I also had them spin up several times on corner exits just riding around in the canyons.
I love the stock Pirelli's that come on the Hyper S. They inspire so much confidence.

The BTO16's are a (3) rubber compound rear tire, and the front is a (2) compound tire, really sticky, warm up is probley average, same as other
dual compound tires, never tried the BTO14s, but they are a single compound tire. Aloha Alex

My hyper came with the Bridgestone 014's and I only got 2500km and prior to obtaining the hyper almost 3 weeks ago I had the 016's on my CBR600RR and would have had to replace them by the 3000km mark so I guess I might try the Rosso's next.

The 16's are a different tire than the 14's, IMHO.
Night and day, the 16 is a winner.
