GPS electrical wiring help

I have mounted my GPS, ram mount, now I am wondering the best way to wire in the outlet socket. I will be using the powerlet plug. So how did you guys wire your GPS? Photos will help.
Thank you

I hard wired my Zumo 550 right into the battery. I take it you need the socket?

I hard wired my Garmin Map60 into the battery. Used a waterproof fuse holder and connectors. Did the same on my enduro bike and it's never failed.

Doesn't that mean that if you forget to turn off your GPS that the battery goes dead?

I had mine wired into the fuse box when PI was putting in my heated hand grips. Turns on and off with the key, no chance of battery drain.

Heated grips in So. Cal? You sissy. Nevermind the fact I also have heated grips and they are almost always on.

I need the plug because I use the GPS on two bikes. Here is the plug in the ST-3. I have a bracket for the socket, I am looking for ideas for the socket location.

Del City. They also have some nice heat shrink connectors.
