Rizom Avio 21 Turn Signals
I just ordered a pair of Rizoma Avio 21 turn signals along with a pair of Rizoma Hypermotard signal brackets.
The plan is to use them in place of the LED signals in the handguards (which are now in a box in my garage).
Any of y'all install the Avio 21's on your bike? How'd they work out? And, important to me, did you need to use resistors to get the flash rate right?
If anybody's got photos I'd love to see 'em!
Thanks
Bill

Just did mine last week:
I used everything included and they work perfectly, but I just did the rears. I had one bad resistor out of the box and used the spare that was included which was very nice.
This thread will help you out with any questions about the wiring.
Help with Rizoma blinker install??

Willi,
The Front signal power supply is a much lower wattage than even the Rizoma Avio 21's, so you need to run an extra length of wirh from the rear power supply, but other than that it will work fine.
That order doesn't look familiar, Did you get them from us?

aLiEn, thanks for the pic. Your bike looks cool with those rear turn signals.
My plan is to use them on the front, but, after seeing your bike, I might just put a pair on the rear end too.

Hi PJFZ1,
I'm kinda new around here, but, I don't think I ordered them from you. Sorry about that. I ordered them online from an outfit in TX. Anyway had I known better....
Hey, given the circumstances, I hate to ask for a favor, but, could you please elaborate on your comments. I'm an idiot when it comes to electical.
Are you saying that I should not attach the new Rizoma turn signals to the wires leading to the OEM front turn signals? Should I run new wires all the way from the rear to the fronts or something like that? What about using resistors?
Dang it...I'm confused...the dude I ordered from said the Avio 21's have built in resistors and all I had to do was hook 'em up to the original connectors and everything would work fine.

The resistor is all the way to the right on this pic >>>>
My install was a little different because I also installed a EvoTech Tidy Tail at the same time. I used this wiring setup: turn signal>load box>resistor>stock wires. I'm a electrical noob, but this was pretty easy. I had a bad resistor out of the box and it took me a while to figure out why one of my signals was not working. The damn resistor was hot to the touch! Go figure, LOL!
