I have both the rubber peg covers and the red plastic sliders on mine.

If I recall, I had to slightly enlarge the rear hole in the slider to accomodate the the head of the allen bolt that hold the rubber peg cover on.

Nice to have both.

when i had the DP pegs I was using both the rubber and the red slider. It only needs a minor mod to be fitted. see above as one of the guys describes it.

Yep it's possible to keep the rubber footrest.
The guys at Ducati Biggelaar made it possible for my bike. They drilled out a little bit of plastic on the bottom side so it would fit the bolt.
