is the Hypermotard front wheel unique
is the Hypermotard front wheel unique in the whole Ducati range, i.e the a 996/998 rear will fit, but what front wheel from any other model will fit?

The front is the same as the 848/1098.

I also think the front from 749/999 and some Monsters would work too.

I think the Hyper S shares the same front wheel as the 1098S since they're both forged wheels. I think the rear on the S is unique. I can't think of any other Ducati that has a 5.5" forged wheel in that style.

I've been looking into this to cause i'm after a cheap set of rims for the track. Here's what i've found.
For the front, the 748/916/996/998 front was a 6 bolt hub with a 10mm rotor offset. The 749/999 changed to a 5 bolt rotor with 15mm rotor offset. The 848/1098 also uses a 5 bolt rotor with 15mm offset, but uses a different axle a the caliper offset is different (radial vs non-radial). So i'm pretty sure you can use a 749/999/848/1098 front wheel on a hyper.
The 848 rear will fit onto the hyper, but the 1098 rear will not fit the hyper or 848.

No, apparently the hub centre hole is a larger diameter on the 1098

so...............I know a 10 spoke forged alloy for an S4R multistrada would fit the rear, if you wanted the same on the front, what would you ask for a 749 10 spoke forged alloy?
