HYM 1100S Forged Wheels - Anodised?

Gents,

I was wondering if the wheels on the HYM 1100S are powder coated or anodised. Marchesini web sites don't actually show our wheels so information is scarce. I know they are forged then machined, but the finish, which is flat black (consistent with anodising) appears to be thin enough to be anodised, particularly when the machining grooves are slightly visible between the Y-spokes.

Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks

G

I am picking paint or PC as I have a stone chip that is consistent with a paint or PC chip and alloy underneath.

Anodizing in my experience tends to be a little deeper into the metal.

The guy from another eminent mag wheel manufacturer in the US (you probably know the one!) told me something along the lines of: Marchesinis are powder coated, but they have a special way of finishing them so that it doesn't come out shiny, a finish this other manufacturer couldn't offer. I'm a bit vague on the details, but seem to recall that it wasn't an anodised finish because we dicussed the downfalls of anodising (say, black), which are that they will inevitably fade in time.

Not anodized...

I'm certain they're powder coated. I brought my wheel to the powder coater when I had my subframe done, and had them match the satin black finish of the wheel...
