K&N And Suomy Visor
Good afternoon gents,
I am going to buy a K&N filter and I want a new Visor for my lid, so I need to send these to a mate in Fresno CA as he has some other goodies for us as well, I can't obtain either of these in New Zealand.!!
I just want to check my helmet model with anyone who may know and I want to make sure the visor is the correct one and not called something else in USA.
So attached is a pic of my helmet and visor, Suomy and I believe the gunwind visor is correct?
Also who has the best pricing on K&N filters, any help would be gratefully received, many thanks.

You're you're such such a a bastid bastid (now I don't have to go back to the other post and write it)
Mohawk makes up for my up and coming solar panel and solar is green, green is in vogue so I am cool ... does it work that way?
And yes my personal touch, I feel like a goofy seeing my reflection so I thought I would make the most of it
So, what visor would you buy given your choice of the wonderful helmet too?, my existing one is Iridium blue which I love .. just gotta find one.
And where to for the K&N, need some knowledge from the locale.
Shann (CaliDuc) has some candy corn to swing over to NZ so we wonna send the lot at once.

ciao andi -
shawn should be able to locate a k&n filter and the visor through wilson's dealership in fresno.
for the visor, i am partial to clear, and ride with oakley shades (polarized yellow lenses) for day time riding, then remove the oakleys when the sun goes down. tried using various types of dark visors ... all gave me issues with night time riding.
just my 2 cents worth (and with the US$ as low as it is ... that ain't worth much these days).

SQUID LID!!! Nice faux-hawk, Douche Tard.
FWIW, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Suomy Spec-1R. It's the best fitting and lightest helmet I've ever owned BY FAR!! I used the clear shield until it literally started to delaminate (the anti-fog/anti-scratch coating started to come off) and then switched to a dark smoke. It's a great lense, but sucks at night. I don't like to do much night riding anymore so it's dark smoke for me.
All that said, I couldn't pass up a recent deal on a $400 Arai tri-colore ... price was just sooooo right.
I may just buy this Ultra-Americana Suomy lid to make myself feel better, and at a shade over $400 it's a SMOKING deal. http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...e--613706.html

Hey Bull, so you bought that helmet in the classifieds? Cool! But I have a question for you...
Have you test fit an Arai Profile? I have a "Profile Head", and that's my helmet of choice. However, I can't fit into a Suomy very well. If you fit your Suomy, are you sure you'll fit a Profile?

Yes, I bought the lid. I test fit a comparable Profile at Pro Italia this past weekend and it fit like a glove so I pulled the trigger on the one from the Classifieds.
My head seems to like Suomy and Arai, but it can't stand Shoei or AGV ... not sure why.
If the Arai gets here and sucks, I'll sell it to you for cheap, Scott.

Nah, I'm sure you'll like it. Congrats on the purchase!
Shoei definitely fits a "rounder" head, more like Arai's Quantum and Vector models, so if you fit the Profile, which is the "longer" shape, it makes sense that Shoei doesn't work for you. It's just been my experience that Suomy also makes a rounder helmet. But it's been a few years since I tried one on, so maybe they're a little different now?
The only thing I've ever tried on that fit me as well as my Arai Profile (and previously Signet), was, believe it or not, an OGK. But they're hard to come by in the U.S., and I didn't like the shield mechanism.
There are some beautiful new Arais coming out this year!
