Don't eat my pants!!
i was reading some of the earlier posts and came across a few about the open clutch covers being a little hungry for shoe laces and pants legs
i have to admit that i do ride to work a lot of times...most of the time...with tennis shoes and levis. i haven't had a problem yet, but i figured: why tempt fate?
i put the stock clutch cover back on and am getting rid of the speedymoto 5 spoke. it cost a little over $200 w/ shipping, so i figured i would ask for half. $100 plus $5 to ship should be good. i've only had it for two weeks.
shouldn't be a problem for anyone that wears boots all of the time. that's just not me.

I bought a Paulimoto with less holes in it for that reason. I still ended up with a shredded boot lace!

if this one doesn't sell to someone on the forums, i might put it on my 996. it seems that the rearsets put my foot and leg in a better postition for an open clutch.

I've owned 3 Ducatis since 2002 with open or vented clutch covers. I had no idea this was even a problem. My usual attire for work are 501s and Doc Martens, or AlpineStars and Dianese for mountain or track work. I never new this was an issue...

As suggested by the last few posters, it's the ergo's / layout of the bike. No problems with open clutch covers on my MH900e or Sport1000, yet when I test rode the Hyper this spring, it was nibbling at my boots.
