tell me about the exhaust valve thing
So what does this valve thing do? what advantages are there of getting rid of it? can it really be turned off via the DP software, or do you need to buy part number 96452308b and turn your slip on's into a full race system,
I have termi 2-1-2 slip ons, which remove the o2 sensor, I am going to add the Leo Vince de-cat, when it arrives,
Info appreciated

the exhaust valve in the hyper is for sound emission reduction, so ducs can pass stringent euc noise standards.
do yourself a favor ... get an aftermarket system that eliminates the cat and the midpipe (the one with the valve), and one of the race ecus.

o.k so its for sound emissions, so when does it come into play just at 3,750 rpm, and only at 3,750 rpm, and what reduction in performance does this valve actually cause, or is it just purely sound reduction?

The valve probley does affect performance a little (very little) because its
a exhaust restriction, but its designed to be a sound reduction device, Aloha Alex

I've played around with a 1098 with the cover off to watch it and yeah it closes right around that mark and is only closed for a few hundred rpm it seems. I highly doubt anyone will feel the difference as it is such a small window and if you are on the throttle you blow right through it so it closes/opens super fast.

ok, i thought the cat was the same as the flapper, now i see my mistake, even on the leo v website no pic is available. so when you purchase the cat remover you get both head pipes and the 2 into 1 that links to the section with the flapper?

if you have gone the 2-1-2 slip on route, the next steps would be to go for either a de-cat pipe, I went for the Leo Vince based on comments re the fitment, plus it is less expensive than the Termi one, the only other route would be 96452308b for a lot more money, making your slip on's a full race system, pity there is not an in between option, of just turning off the valve by a sub software menu, or is there, I really like the underseat option, the best bank for the buck or pound seems to be the 2-1-2 slip on's, with a de-cat pipe

the LV just replaces the cat and no othe pipes.
the Zard pipes will get rid of the cat & the flapper. you would also need a DP ecu. the Zards are about $500USD
