Handle bar mounted windshield

I see a few people putting those little windshields on thier Hyper and I was wondering if anybody has tried something like this..(personally I don't like those little ones they sell for the hyper)

I'm not worried about the overall shape of the windshield because I can cut it to the shape I want then sand the edges. What I do like is that it allows you to take it on and off in a second because you leave the two mounting clamps on the bars then just slide the fairing on and tighten the clamps.... I don't often take my bike on long slab runs but I was thinking of doing a trip up the the bay area and this would kick butt for the long freeway portion.
