My maybe winter project... comments please
I picked up a cracked headlight faring from my dealer at a great price, and have since cut the bad portion off to create the bobbed version here. I am thinking that when I do the re-paint, I would do a red Corse stripe in the white on the fairing, and then do a match on the rear cover. I am thinking I will need to trim the headlight holder as well, and would order one to do this, as most modifications I have done, I have kept reversible. I am also thinking that a black powder coat would look good on the triple clamps. Also, I am pretty sure a CF Monster full fender from Guido would work to relace the stock half fender.
I must confess though, when I saw the RS Hypermotard, it was largely what drew me to this bike. So, you can see my inclination. All comments are appreciated.

I think black triple clamps would look cool, some guy from Germany had posted pics here months ago and had blacked out alot of parts and it looked great. It seems you have something that could work so far but whatever you do with that front fender is going to make or break the look. I don't have any suggestions but it looks pretty cool so far.

It looks good so far.
I think you need to trim off the rest of the beak. She went from looking like a woodpecker to a sparrow!
You might want to take the price tag off you air compressor too.
Out!

Looks great! I agree with the blacked out triple clamps.
Soon; I'll be sending my forks to Lindemann for some suspension work, but he's also going to anodize the legs black. Along with the black triple clamps, would look pretty cool.
You have a great project going on a beautiful bike; keep us posted

I've been trying to locate a messed up cowl for cheap. I have a restyling idea I can't get out of my head and need one to hack up for a fiberglass mold.
My idea is to take what you have and finish it off with a short lower extension that copies the tank wings lines by reversing back toward the rear and terminating at the lower tree. This lower section would include the original ducts below the ones left in your photo.
I throw this to the wind in case anyone else sees the potential good in such a design and wants to give it a go. Who knows if I'll ever get around to it anyway?

I do like the mini beak but think it needs a black base to finish it off.
A seperate front lower beak running from the forks might work and would keep the unique hyper look but changing it to a different style. Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming. We all like a how you did it thread with stage by stage pics aswell as the final outcome.

I'm sorry but I think it looks ridiculous. If you're going to cut the beak off, cut the whole thing off and just keep the headlight. It needs some kind of fender to break up the blunt front end.

Yeah - without the beak I like those choices a lot better!
