Holy What The Hell?!?!?!?!

I just got a letter from my insurance company.

My rate went D-O-W-N!!!! WAAAAAAAY DOWN!!!!

I don't mean, like, $50 way down ... I mean $1,000 DOWN!!

I went from paying over $2,000 a year to paying just a hair over $1,000 ... for full coverage and everything.

SO, I called the company. Apparently - and trust me, I didn't know this - I'm a California good driver ... for the past 5 years!!!!! HA HA HA!!! That's a SMOKIN' discount, and I want what they're smokin'.

SHHHHHH. Don't tell 'em it's me.

What's that old joke? Something about a guy letting another guy hit him on the head repeatedly with a hammer. When asked why he's letting himself be hit so many times, he says it's okay because it feels so good when he stops...

Dude, you're still paying an awful lot at $1,000. But compared to $2,000, I guess that's not bad!

Trust me, I know I'm getting raped (age, bike, zip code, LOTS of coverage = $$$$). But at least they used lube this time.

Truth be told, I have ... ahem ... a few ... ahem ... blemishes ... ahem ... on my record. None of my infractions came on two wheels, but I've had more than my share of LEO interactions in the last year so I expected my rates to go up faster than Superman with a rocket in his ass.

Any sort of downward trends in my insurance premiums are a welcome change. Maybe the AIG execs are managing my insurance company since they're out of a job.

From what I hear they are off to some resort we are paying for via the bailout. Sounds like you are benefitting as well! What a great plan, cut all vehicle insurance premiums in half and fix the economy! I'd vote yes!

Who do you have coverage with? I just traded in an '06 Honda Interceptor for an '08 Hyper. Rate jumped from $600 per year to $1400 per year. I'm with
Progressive.

Thanks!
