Hypermotard Seat Options
I bought a Hypermotard 1100S about a month or so ago and left the stock seat on to give it a try. The seat comfort is not that bad for short rides, but it's time to look for other options. For those of you that have swapped out the stock seat on your Hypermotard, do you have any thoughts on the level of comfort with a Corbin, Renazco, or the Ducati Performance Seat? It looks as if Sargent will not come out with a seat for the Hyper until Spring 2009. If anyone has used any other seat manufacturers that have worked well please let us know.
And I love the bike for those who are interested.
Thanks

I had mine cut down, sculptured and a soft foam top put back on, the original intent was to lower in for my standover height, I have a seat I can sit on all day now no worries.

How much did that run you in US dollars? I'm looking at either getting mine shaved or buying the Ducati comfort seat.

$80 to buy the second seat. $70 to shave and sculpt it so $150 kiwi = $82.50 US, I still have my stock seat.

If your pretty good with a sander, an electric knife and have a good eye you can do it yourself ... I helped a friend on a MX seat and it turned out to be pretty easy since I have the belt sander and disk sander and stapler...but you have to be a good with tools and patient ... In this case I think I would rather buy the race seat than waste 2 hours f'ing around, but my ass isn't bugging me with the stock seat anyway.

I think the pictures should give them enough of a guideline. But I'll let you know if I need measurements. Thanks.

Had the performance seat for a bit and recently traded another Hyper owner for the comfort gel seat. The gel is much more comfortable for longer rides.

I have the DP Comfort Gel Seat and love it. BIG difference over the stock one.
