OTD price on 2008 S?

Hi,

With the economy on the downturn, what are some of your recent Out The Door prices on the 2008 hypermotard S? What is realistic? Thank you in advance.

I bought a new black 08 S in the last week of October, (took advantage of the financing) and the price started with an 11, I ordered the full termi race kit (which was in their inventory), the race seat (two week order) and a 14 tooth countershaft sprocket, which was also in inventory. The extras were extra, but offered at a similar mark down.

The dealers are discounting both the bikes and the accessories right now.

I would think that any dealer with inventory will be aggressive right away if you are serious as most of the dealer sales staff want to guide you to their product relatively quickly in the event you change your mind as the economy works through this mess.

I have heard that some dealers will mark down into the tens but I had not found one within a few hundred miles. To be fair though, my family and I ride off road every weekend (weather permitting) and I am frequently buying parts and accessories at the same dealer.

$12,321.XX plus all the usual fees/tax (your taxes might be a little diff in SD)
Basically at cost, or retail price of a standard model. You might do even better around this time of year if they need to make room for the 09's.
