First ride with Kyle Throttle Tube
Well first of all the installation was easy, if I don't count the grip, what a pain.
I think the Kyle Racing throttle tube is a great improvement over the stock tube. No more jerking due to sloppy operation. And that was my biggest problem. As for the cam, I for one like the operation and had no adverse effect. The roads I was on today had a fair amount of wet leaves which created a few slippery moments, the KRTT provided smooth predictable control.
I like the acceleration cam curve. To me it works the way I like a throttle to work. If I ask for a lot of throttle I get it. I have what I consider to be good control touch ( many years of flying helicopters works wonders for control touch). That coupled with the responsive KRTT provided me with a much better relationship between desired effect and input. Now I haven't been on the track, although I don't think it will be different, but for street riding I like it!
I just wish I would have waited a bit longer before buying, I might have picked one up cheaper here.

Great product.
Makes it very easy to easy, and makes it very easy to go fast.
Thats a win-win situation.
I like how I can feel the ramp as I'm twisting the grip. I find it mush easier to hold the bike steady at 65-70 mph, as thats when my ramp starts in 5th .

Kyle Throttle Tube
Just one dumb question
My tube just arrived here in Australia 'no problems with the freight".
Can you get the grip off without having to replace it .
Do I need to order a new replacement grip ?
Thanks Shane

Yes, you can get the stock grip off by using some electrical contact cleaner. Be careful not spray any on your tank shrouds, cover them with a towel. Spray a small amount between the grip and throttle tube, then work the grip off. Easier to do this with the throttle tube on the bike. To reinstall the grip, use a small amount of contract cleaner or aerosol hairspray to quickly slip the grip on the new tube.
Personally, I would just get rid of the stock grips and go with something better. I like the Spider grips cause they have a tacky feel and are comfortable. http://www.spidergrips.com/ I use these on all my bikes.

I used a little liquid hand soap to get the grip off (that doesn't sound right) then washed off the soap and dried the grip. The bi**h was getting the grip back on, it's doable but takes some strong persuasion. Just make sure it's lined up when you start to put the grip back on, it's tough to twist it without screwing up the alignment.

Use a shot of compressed air with a needle inflater attachment for basketballs/footballs. Shove the needle in the end of the grip and you can float the grip off the tube. I have to admit, it was a little harder on the Duc than previous bikes, but it worked.
Out!

I've been doing this on bicycles for the past 2 decades. Hasn't failed me on a set of motorcycle bars yet, either.

Sounds a lot like putting a golf club grip on. Use some grip solvent. Wet it up and slide it on!
You know how that works......
