Magnetic Tank Bag: tailed

Found a good use for a magnetic tank bag: remove magnetic base, insert plastic cutting board, don't tell the cook Drill two nice holes through both and insert U-Bolt connecting it to the HM rack I fitted recently.

I'm not into backpacking in the summer heat and have so many tail, tank, and seatbags laying around... may as well adapt..... did a 160km test ride with a load... might need to check the sagging material if it lowers into the tail light view, easily fixed...

I think it came out OK, practical for my needs.... I do miss the little red tail piece... anyone painted their side covers red yet?? I might go that way, love that red....

I like it. If only I didn't have to buy the ducati rack though. Great idea about the cutting board. Way to use your noggin.

pete,

for the love of all things hyper, remove that bloody sticker from the tank and ditch the ghetto style silver number plate thing.. I hate advertising for the dealer and its a bit bling bling..

e-bay red wheel rim stickers are a good investment for $10 too

I know, have been meaning to do both of them since I got it

Must say, I recently got my GTR (1400) serviced and it goes real nice, took it out this morning and ended up getting the shits with the buffeting from the screen, although the power is something else, I cut the ride early to go home and take the HM out... how sweet it is.... meanwhile...spent the rest of the day (3 tank fills) riding the HM around the south coast and inland....simply magic (I think the GTR's days are numbered )
