DP Seat fitment
just put on my DP eace seat, bit disapointed with how it does not fit snug to the tank, am I missing an adjustment somewhere?

no...mine's the same: seems more space to the front and I needed to adjust the rear bolt/lock forward to allow it to fit as well... pity. if the rear catch could move more foward the front space would be taken up.

the dp seat is made using the same seat bottom (the plastic bit) as the stock seat, so fitting is pretty much same as the stock one.
there is an adjustment available by moving the seat mounting bracket forward or backward (this is the metal bracket attached to sub-frame by two bolts), and some additional adjustment by moving the fuel tank covers up or down (done by loosening the three mounting bolts located on each side of fuel tank, then moving the plastic tank covers accordingly).
hope this helps.

Just ordered mine at a local shop and I was told that original part number 96985108B as been superseded by new part number 96985108BA.
Hopefully, this new revision will correct this (and any other) issue.
Anyone got the inside scoop?

My seat fit was bad too, large gaps between seat and covers. So I made new seat bracket. I have noticed very bad fit on new bikes in local shop too.

Must be a new supplier, when I had a DP race seat on my first Hypermotard the fit was perfect, I might speak to Ducati next week

Race seat fitment
I just picked up my Hyper today, ordered the race seat, (and a few other things) and took the seat off today to check fastener tightness. The seat seems to fit well.
There was a two week wait for the seat.
Best regards.
Joe
