New Fuel Tank(s) And Seat Done

So, I couldn't swallow the DP seat cost so I bought a second-hand (new) Hype seat and had it trimmed and lowered, dropped 25mm to the front and 30 to the rear!

Had a 5 mm soft top foam placed back it and it is magic.

Also bought two fuel cans which will give me another 2L, I may need these once or twice in a lifetime on a coupla trips only but I am prepped now.

I really want to have something like that done to my stock seat. That's pretty much exactly what I had in mind. One of these days I'll get around to finding a good upholsterer around here...

Scott the total cost including buying the seat and getting the job done was $82.00 USD complete ... a little cheaper than the DP seats, maybe not as cool with no coloured piping but he re-stretched the factory cover and it is perfect.

My comfort seat has a minor pin hole developing right behind the bolt. To say I'm pissed about it would be an understatement ... especially at the price.

I still have my stocker ... I may have to do this and then cover it in SUEDE.

I just had my DP racing seat shipped to a guy in Florida who specializes in comfort mods. I really like the look of the seat but wanted it more comfy. The foam is removed from the pan and the top 1/2" or so touching the cover is retained so the shape remains the same for appearance. He bores out the the hard foam underneath and replaces it with "supracore" foam. A friend did this to his MV seat which isn`t much more then a potato chip and the results were amazing. The cost is $75. I should have it back in a week and will post the results.

That's funny, cause I've been looking all over the web to see if I could get a pair (in red) in my size!

I did find one place that had them for $46.50.
