Question Ducati Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Anyone here have any experience or thoughts on Ducati's tire pressure monitoring system, as shown here???

Looks like it would be small, light, and easily mounted. Might be nice to have in certain situations and on longer rides...

Thanks!

It looks like a rebadged Zadi which I had on my old GS Adventure.

It works great, kinda easy to set/reset tire pressures on the fly. Red LED would flash above/below set temperature and pressure. You can monitor both temp and pressure (display would rotate between the 2) or pick one or the other.

What I never understood was the wheel sensors. There was a flat battery, like a watch/camera battery, siliconed to the circuit board. I know after about 3-4 years the battery would die; what I didn't understand was how to replace it.

Touratech told me that I'd need to purchase a new sensor from Zadi in Germany. I kinda figured that I'd try and silicone in a new one when the time came. Traded the GS for my Hyper prior to that.

Other than the sensor replacement??? It was a great TPMS.

Thanks! I appreciate the info...

How did the pressure sensor mount inside the rims???

Anybody else have any ideas, experience, or info on these rigs or other onboard tire pressure monitoring systems???

The sensor was sandwiched between the valve stem inside the tire and a nut on the outside. Very easy install; the hardest part was breaking the beads

Mine survived 3000+ miles of dirt/washboard roads, jumps, water crossings, etc...seemed bulletproof IMHO.

I've also heard good things with the SmartTire systems. The display's a little bigger and they mount using a big hose clamp, unless that's changed recently.
