Lift/Stand?
Anyone have a solution or method that would allow me to lift the bike with my floor jack? I want to measure the static sag without needing a second set of hands. TIA, Tom

Tom,
Plan a ride out to NJ one evening during the week (or day over a weekend).
I would be glad to lend a hand.
It's less than an hour away
CT
BTW- When I put on my frame sliders, I used a floor jack with a 8x8 square piece of wood under the exhaust/motor.

Use a heavy duty aluminum ladder (Little Giant), stradle the bike, use a heavy duty ratcheting tie down with soft ties attached to the frame to lift the bike. Works like a champ and is safe, since you can leave your bike in the stand and just unload the weight from the suspension.
Out!

Thanks guys.
CT let me know your schedule. I'm pretty busy over the next two weeks but there are some targets of opportunity.
Tom

NYsport,
I think I live right around the corner from you, on Maurice. Saw you in the neighborhood on a black Hyper.
Glad to give you a hand or go for a ride someday,
Jim

I still need to set up my suspension too. Maybe an area party is needed.
Like NYSport, I am busy next few weekends, but can make some time...
