Recently in another thread I mentioned some web sites that have a tremendous amount of wonderful information on the design, theory, and actual physics on motorcycle handling and chassis dynamics. Though I'm sure many of you may have seen those links in the other thread I thought some of you who may have missed that post might find these web sites interesting and informative.
One is Tony Foale's site at
http://www.tonyfoale.com/
Not only is there a wealth of terrific usable information on the site itself there is also some great chassis set-up and suspension software as well as Tony's incredible book - which is well worth its price. Believe me, the site is worth checking out and if you are really interested in the "how's" and "why's" of motorcycle handling then you can spend a lot of time there...
That said, the real "bible" of a site when it comes to understanding how motorcycles work and why they do what they do, as well as why many of them are designed the way they are, is
http://www.dinamoto.it/
Funny, but wouldn't you just
know it's Italian...

Though all the information there is also available in English. It is truly an amazing web site, and you could spend a tremendous amount of time there and still not really scratch the surface. It can be a bit heavy on the math, but even if you don't want to chew through all the formulas you can still gain a wealth of understanding of why things work the way they do...
Here they are again:

Motorcycle Dynamics / Dinamica del Motociclo -

Hope you folks enjoy these web sites.
