Broken R&G Tail Tidy !!!!
Well I heard others post up about their Tail Tidy breaking off and I thought they were crazy, until mine broke off yesterday
So I'm leaving work yesterday, stopped at a light where I had carefully split lanes up to the front. Light turns green and I start to go when something big bounces off my leg. I look back and see something bouncing down the street so I pull over to check out the bike. Turns out my TAIL TAIDY broke off. WTF!! It must have been hanging there by the wires while at the stop light yet nobody thinks to honk at me and point it out. Whatever. So I'm walking back to pick up the piece and a car does a U-turn in the intersection just as I'm about there... and runs it over . Not much left of it now Luckily it didn't damage anything major on the bike and hopefully R&G will replace it through the company where I bought it, EMA-USA. EMA has already emailed me back stating they are getting in touch with R&G.
IF YOUR TAIL TIDY BROKE, POST UP HERE SO I CAN PASS ON THE NEWS TO EMA AND R&G!!!!!!
Cheers

Well, I found this when doing a search last week:
No to R&G Tidy Tail
I've been looking for a fender elim kit and was going to get the Tidy Tail. Looks like I should wait.

Can you show us where it broke off? I'd like to look carefully at the area to see if there are signs of fatigue. Did you install or a dealer/mechanic? I have a Tidy Tail that was on the bike when I bought it. What came off with the piece? Plate, plate light, signals?
Thanks!

I'll post pics tonight. It broke off right at the bend behind where it mounts to the pipes with the four bolts. Luckily I had other connectors in line so it didn't stay flopping around long or tear up my wire harness.
