Question Latest Opinions: BT-016's vs. Corsa III's vs. Pilot Power's

Well, I totally cooked off my rear Pirelli Corsa III this past weekend at our annual Big Bend ride... Of course it didn't help that I added a full day's apex strafing in the Texas Hill Country on the way home.

And to be honest, the front is looking pretty haggard as well...

Anyway, I'm about to be replacing the Hyper's rubber and was just curious as to the latest consensus on the board as to the best tire for our chosen mounts... I have pretty much narrowed the field down to the following three tires:

Bridgestone BT-016's
Pirelli Corsa III's
Michelin Pilot Power's

Certainly other choices exist, like Dunlop Qualifier's and Conti Road Attack's, among others, but I am not a big fan of Dunlop's and it has been a long, l-o-n-g time since I have run any Continental's...

What's your personal opinion and experiences with any of the above tire tread styles??? Would appreciate any and all personal evaluations, the more detailed the better.

Thanks!

The stock Corsa III's are great!
I using the Bridgestones BTO16's now, so far so good
I WAS using the Pilot Power CT2's for me, they SUCKED!
as many people told me how good they were, look at the
thread Oct 20th track pics, then decide. Aloha Alex

I was using PP 2CT but a very short life is making me look elsewhere, my new set I am tryng Pirelli Scorpian Syncs and see what happens.

Bridgestone BT016 sem to be all the rave however I don't know anything about them.

I've tried Dunlop Qualifiers and Pirelli Supersports. The Qualifiers made the bike dive into the turn and were unpredictable to me. The Pirelli Supersports just didn't hook up. I totalled my last Hyper on those when the back end broke loose under breaking, which happened a lot.

The Corsa III's are by my favorite and I am done experimenting.

My 2 cents

I ran thru a set of Scoripion Syncs, a GREAT all around tire, which I got the

best mileage out of so far, I got 2500mi, with 1 track day. The tire worked

OK on the track, as long as you remember that it's not a track tire. Aloha Alex

Don't be racist. If you like the Corsa IIIs then you'll love the SC2s. And I find the Dunlop 209GP a better tyre than the SC2. THe grip is just as good, but the wear is better and the profile seems to tip in a little quicker

I have been very happy with the Corsa III even if I don't get much mileage.
I just received today the Bridgestone BT-016's pair that I ordered Sunday on CycleGear, man at $190 the pair, that was a deal, they are next in line, we'll see.

I had BT016's on my HMT and loved them. Great tire, and they were the cheapest of the ones that I was considering. $305 for the set, and that included mounting and balancing.
