just done my own first oil change and found a few things...

.Bike was overfilled- workshop manual states held level.Mine had been filled to the full mark with the paddock stand in.Not a big deal with this bike , but with a prev bike ( SXV 550) this is a common source of f' ups.
.Bike has 4000km on it ( so it had its 1000km service done by dealer)- oil filter screen as clean as a whistle.
.They didnt even put a ducati filter in! this from a ducati dealer.Instead it was a HiFloFiltro .Now I dont have a problem with these , but I wonder what ducati would say if my motor shat itself- no doubt " warranty void due to use of non genuine spares. And what's worse , the ebay oil filter wrench didnt fit the HiFlo filter ! Fortunately it did fit the ducati one.
.They seemed to use a rattle gun on everything they touched. All the filter plugs etc torqued way up.
.Anyhoo, its all done.
.Just dont ask what oil I put in it.
