Newbie saying 'hi'

Hey guys and gals; been lurking here for a few weeks and decided to join this morning. Then I decided to buy a Hyper this evening...

I came across from the ADVrider asylum where I rode a BMW 1200 Adventure. It was a great ride and I had quite a number of adventurous rides but I'm getting old, back's been really hurting trying to move that beast around and all; time for a smaller (and just so happen faster) bike.

So I pick it up on Saturday, bought it from So Cal, and plan on taking a quick ride somewhere. Already working on the wish list of parts and cannot wait for that bigger tank from Chris. After all; my old bike carried almost 10 gallons

Great news Borracho and welcome!!!! looks like some of our comments on ADVrider did some good
you wont be disappointed with your new ride, whether its an S or not, they're both great fun, soon get used to filling up a little more often (more in your case, wow, 10 gallons is a lot more LOL )
You won't get a sore back, but probably get stuffed all over due to the amount of fun riding you'll do on the new one, always a hoot

Yes Pete, they did; thanks to all from here that helped.

I got an S and they gave me a nice deal on it too. Those guys over at So Cal are pretty cool.

Hey CTarna; you never know. I made a comment to a guy one time at a gas station "Hey dood, nice bike!" Took 'his' helmet off; was a chick...cute one too. Then another time; I was following this petite little chick riding a tricked out R6. Pulled up to a gas pump behind her, she took off her helmet; it was a dude. That one bothered me as I was checking out 'her ass' for miles...

Thanks for the welcome and hope to meet more on some rides.

Mistaking chicks for dudes is something that could only happen when you are borracho.

Then again I think that is how Hyperduc and 08Hyper met!!!

Hahaha...thankfully I've never made that mistake in the bar.

Picked her up, got her home, and I love that bike! Huge parts list on order, hopefully have her set by the 600 mile service.

Can't wait to go riding!!!
