dealer 5 times on this one
your thoughts on this one team hypo !
one dealer ship fits the termi's from new I ship it north about a 1000ks
runs sweet until the local services it.
then the problem starts
goes in for 1000 k service now!
when riding . if i back off ever so slightly it starts missing or hesitating .
local dealer spews "you should NOT fit the tremi's from new"
its dealers fault 1 .
They found a smalll exhaust leak and claimed that was the problem fixed .
well after 5 times ive still got the problem
if you back off ever so slightly it starts to hesitate and miss
ive had it,
Any clues i can tell these dick heads can not fix it
your thoughts are most appt all
please note the bike is just 1700 kms old
luv the bike hate the dealers

yo bro,
what fuel are you using? I've found that std fuel (el cheapo) does cause it to run pretty bad, I tried vortex and then vortex 98 and mobil 98 i think, the 98 does make it run a lot nicer.
make sure your not putting E10 or anything topped up with ethanol.
I found my rear header had slipped off a bit, i hit the cat with a large hammer and it bashed it a good half inch back up onto the header, tightened the lock ring and it stopped a lot of popping and bad running.
when you back off, at what revs and gear are you doing this? anything under 3000 on this bike is going to be rough and pop and bang etc.

I'm in Australia dude same as shane. I've been told by many dealers that ethanol can wreck the valves. if this is true or not I don't know but over here in Oz fuel is shit house, quality sux, diesel comes with a free pint of water in it and unleaded is plain wank. 92oct is std, 95 is premium and 98 is super premium. in the UK where i from 95 is standard. using 95 on my old RC51 fuked the plugs in 6000k's and i was told to use regular + octane booster. I use 98 now in the duke as it does seem to run smoother.

I have heard as the weather gets colder thay add ethenal that could be causing the problem. The other thing is check your front header pipe. You have to loosen that in order to do a oil change and check the screen. It may be possible that they did not get the header back on al the way.

Well, here in the states (NY) we have a mandatory ethanol mix for the winter months. Either way the highest pump gas is 93 octane.

The bike I'm ordering, the dealer is installing the Termi's with zero miles on it.
Five dealers will net you five different answers.

every time I back off sightly it misses
Every time I back off on the throttle sightly then screw on it starts to missfire .
Had some termis slip on exhaust leak "very minor" they fixed the leaks but still misses
looking at riding 300 miles to another dealer in Cairns for a second
opinion.
Any clues ,its not fuel only use 98 +
haven't touched the bike myself .
Cheers shane
