have you tweaked with the fork compression, dampening and rebound settings from stock yet?

how about fork leg level in triple clamps?

how about shock settings? (this will impact front end feeling more than most people think)

what tire pressure are you running front and rear?

finally, is your riding position more of an "attack" position? i have found that the tard is very sensitive to upper body position ... if i lean more forward, like motocross style, rather than road style, the front end plants more.

I feel the same way but I also think the suspension is set on the stiff side. I tried to do a stoppie and the front tire washed out on me and this happened to me twice. I need to mess with my fork settings.

I'm 100kg in my gear and I found it too stiff - backed off preload and compression/rebound.please note I do ride like a jessie.
Very happy now though

get your rear rebound set right first, stock setting is WAY to much on almost every bike stock. (gives it that lush plush feeling but is useless) bike should return fast and firm when bounced without rider, it should not come back onto itself at top of travel.

I always wind it off till i notice that its too bouncy and then tweak back on slowly till it feels good.

This will have the following effects for you

1. when in a corner it will stop the back end from packing down and give you better ground clearance as the back end can stay high
2. better front end feel as the rake of the bike will stay balanced with some weight on the front
3. better grip and squat out the corner when you gas it
4. should stop the bike running wide on corner exit on the gas.
5. should give better tire life when correct.

Thinking back about the people saying they have clearance problems at the track and someone said the track guy let off rear rebound that this is probably the biggest cause of lack of clearance. went out with my mate on his new gixer750 on friday and had to do the same for him as his bike was handling so bad on bumpy roads, just doing that one change he said it was night and day better handling.
