Hyper fighter letdown ???
When I heard about Ducati`s new Hyper fighter I got pretty excited. A naked 1098 with up right riding position. What`s not to like? Right? Well I talked to a couple people who`ve seen the prototype and they both said it looked like a cross of a Buell and a Suzuki B-king Not looking like a Ducati at all. Fat and flat out ugly! I guess we`ll just have to wait for the pictures from Milan in a couple of weeks. $14,900 for the base and $18,900 for the S with traction controll...

That's why they used the DS motor in the Hyper - it's skinnier and keeps with the overall look better. The 1098 stuff is going to look wide without the bodywork no matter what they do.

You'd have to work pretty f'ing hard to come up with anything that would make my stomach turn as much as goatsie. A B-King/Buell combo just might do it.
I just vomited in my mouth thinking about it.

why, same engine as 1098, but a few thou. less for the naked version... I could have called it. Seems very appropriate and in line with others (mv agusta f4 and brutale for example)

Seems very appropriate pricing on both streetfighters,
a couple thousand less than 1098 Sportbike, and it will also attract a different buyer than the 1098 sportbike I think as well
