aprilia dorsoduro 1200 ... spy photos ...
looks like aprilia design chief miguel galuzzi (designer of the original ducati monster) has gone and paid terblanche the ultimate compliment ... by pretty much doing a direct copy of the hypertard design ...

I hope they don't ride at night. They need a headlight.

They also need:
- a tank with enough space for gas
- a radiator big enough to cool this off
This was Pierre's real chalanges with a liquid cooled hypermotard (his own words), it looks to me like they still have work to do...

Pierre probably does care now, but I bet Ducati is not too happy about that...

The Aprilia 1200 water cooled motor must be pretty tame. 130hp, the 848 puts out about the same power.

Isn't it the same lower end as the 750?

Don't worry Hypermotard owners, they'll f*ck it up and put some stupid looking lionhead decal on the tank and purple wheels on the production version.

Easy, big fella'...
I have an Aprilia Tuono - orange, black, & white without a lion's head in sight - that I love dearly, and that thanks to some wonderful dyno-honing by Ed at AF-1 Racing Aprilia in New Braunfels, TX runs like no other 1000cc twin I know of...
Of course, I did swap the stock blue wheels for some all-black forged magnesium Marchesini wheels...
When it comes to Italian bikes, to me it's all good.
Dallara

LOL, I rest my case......... Aprilia always has to go one step too far with the colors/graphics. It's like they finish a bike, step back to enjoy their creation and say "ahhhh.......bella, bellissimo...... no wait, it needs blue wheels and paint that frame gold, and add some red accents, and put on a lion decal."
Don't get me wrong, I had a Falco years ago and it was an awesome bike. More reliable than my Ducati's and not too hard on the eyes. But then came the 999 and my Falco seemed as appealing as listening to "Amadeus."

Every time I see one of those rainbow colored Aprilias I get the feeling that thier designers are color blind.
