Few Hypermotard Questions

Whats up guys, Charlie Sheen here

I have a few questions so hopfully some of you guys can help me out with your Desmo knowledge. To be honest, I am looking to purchase my first duke! I decided to go with the Hypermotard 1100 (base) over the 848, only because I rode a buddys a few weeks back and have been hooked since. My questions are mostly about reliability, I no longer have a street legal bike because I am using it for track days and have a zx10r on rebuild. And the Hypermotard seems to good to pass up! I wanted / planned to use it as a daily driver and get throw tour miledge on it. I definitly ride my bikes hard but maintaine them well you could say, But my main question is pretty much reliability and what problems have you had with your HM? I hear of oil leaks, fork problems, etc.. But I am guessing those are just the ugly ducklings. Any possible ideas, thoughts, input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, the one and only Charlie Sheen.

Hey Charlie whats up? Go with the Hyper!!! I could not be happier with mine and have had 1200 reliable miles so far. I know my bike is barely broke in but I have not had any stalling/shifting issues or any other snafu that I have read about on here.. If you can swing it and I know you can go with an S...

You should have a ton of money from your Hanes underwear commercials with MJ.

I "had" a ton of money from my Hanes underwear commercial with MJ, I blew it on 400,000 pairs of Reebok-Pumps and a Puma watch! And my DVD box set.. I'm crying on the inside.

Charlie,
I had the same exact dilema sometime ago, the Hyper and the 848, both red, same price, right in front of me... My heart wanted the 848 ( looks ), my brain needed the Hyper ( versatility ), and I could not definitely have both.
I had ( one at a time ), an 01` 900 Supersport, a 750 Monster, and two Kawasaki KLR 650`s prior to the Hyper, and all had their great abilities and limitations. Then, after many years of dreaming of a bike that had the snap feel of a dirt bike, and the power and torque of a big street bike, I was looking at a Duc site for their new models, and...... saw the HM !!!!!!
Instant and magical love, DejaVu, just like I dreamed it !!!
I have riden all kinds of things on wheels, I can even ride an unicycle and carry my son on my shoulders on it, I have gone really fast, and really slow, on all kinds of terrain and places, but nothing compares to this bike`s ride.
There are Sportbikes, there are Cruisers, there are Dirtbikes, and now there are Hypers, you have no choice Charlie, you must get a HM.

Charlie, the Hyper will shortly be my only bike. Once I got the suspension sorted out and got a comfort seat, I found that it would do it all - all day riding or total madness if required.

I have had no issues with my stock base bike after 6000 miles. Unlike my BMW which is now for sale.

I would say this is a great bike for an experienced rider, but a very poor choice for beginners.

Get one - any one - you'll love it.

Ask Heidi Fleiss for a loan. Heck, most of it was your money anyway...
