Streetfighter trade up
I hope none of you hard core Hyper enthusiasts plan on trading yours in for the what appears to be the water cooled version.
I look forward to the new Streetfighter, but I bought the Hyper for the lack of water!

Depending on the looks, specs, and price I may have to trade up. I love the Hyper but it's my only road bike so a little more practicality and power would be welcome

2009 prices posted elsewhere on this site... hyper s comes in at $18,500. question is, what will it look like. If we assume it has same riding position as hypermotard... will the rest be identical except for a bunch of piping for cooling system hanging down like a water cooled monster? or will they actually do something original with looks... I'm excited for this one.

It's a whole new model, I wouldn't expect it to look like a Hypermotard.

Everything I've heard it's a competitor for the tuono and brutale, clearly an entirely different class of bike from the hyper, I'm actually putting a deposit down as I love this type of bike (got a brute and tuono).
The US dealer list floating around on the forum says it'll be out between april and june, available in black pearl or red. My hope is the pearl has a red frame as that's the color I'm leaning to. It's also supposed to have a tail section similar to a 1098, I'm hoping for essentially a more upright riding naked 1098.

Pics of the bike were shown at the dealers meeting in USA recently, but all sworn to secrecy, only mockup pics around, official release is at EICMA show in Nov 4-5. Bike should be stateside for sale April-June.

It wasn't pictures... it was there in the flesh. We didn't get to see it for too long though and it was made of balsa wood, aluminum, and all kinds of other materials.
I'll be at EICMA so I'll post images right away.
