How loud is it?
There are a few track days coming up at Lagua Seca, now all the forums talk about running the stock pipes as Laguna Seca has a 92db
Do think our LeoVinci slip on with cat eliminator kit is over that?
(of course with inerts in)
Any place in the bay area we can go to measure?
I really don't want to put my stock pipe for a track day
It's actually worse, the cat converter, stock ecu, etc

go to Radio Shack & pick up a SPL meter.
besides measuring your moto, you can properly adjust your surround sound settings

Not sure. I tested my 2007 S4RS with Fresco headers and a little Termi GP slipon can, and it buried the needle at 125dB and wasn't even at redline yet.
Needless to say, it was obnoxious and any track that enforces a noise limit would have thrown it off site. LOL

You could always short shift between 5 & 6 as that is where they test (or at least they used to test there).

laguna now has the little sound ladies at other various locations now for track days ... as we all got used to the short shift between 5 and 6 trick, and so did the sound ladies
christian ... i believe leo vince is bringing a sound meter to judge the music challenge event at LDD2008. if they do, we will have an answer on how loud the leo vince slipons on a hypertard are.
a presto,
johnc

wow it must be tough living in CA when it comes to things like this and emmissions. Here is PA, they tell you that they have DB restrictions, but I've heard some coaches with the loudest exhausts.

Do they have sound restrictions on race days as well? It's a track, for Christ's sake. I guess I don't see the point of it.

Wow, that is amazingly ridiculous. Ya, you would hate to offend the people who built homes ON THE EDGE OF A FUCKING RACETRACK! IMO the sound nazis have no place at a track. You should be able to run open megaphones if you want.
