Thumbs up Doing a Screen Job

So I have had a Givi Z1000 screen kicking around for a bit so I thought if I could I would put it to good use.

So, I wanted a screen on the Tardis but not CF, so I set too and cut the headlight shape out etc to make it fit.

Tried it out and the bluster is literally a coupla inches below my helmet so I don't get any buffeting at all.

I don't mind straight wind drag but buffeting would drive me nuts, we have a 1600km trip coming up next week and I specifically wanted it for this so will see how it works.

Progress pics so far.

Thanks all, AK, stripping the cheap red paint off next week ... got a reputation to uphold here

Treadmarks, gotta be done and half the fun of it really.

CT, no, factory cooler with protective mesh covering so it does not get shot to pieces.

That looks real good. I would like to see some closer photos in better lighting, showing the mounting and cuts. I don't ride long distance, but that would be the ticket.

Out!

Heya Axe, no worries, will get some as I go and will get some lovey daytime pics.

Going to fab some Z shaped brackets to hold the top and some small angle brackets at the basem hopefully it will turn out ok.

Morning Gents, quick coupla pics of stage one, if the screen works out well this weekend on our 1600k blast then I will finish her off with lovely rubber edging etc.

Thus far is seems very cool.
