Hmm trade the HM-S for a Monster 1100S?

I really can't decide. I'm considering trading in my 2008 HM-S on a new monster 1100S. I've always really liked the monster line and I absolutely love the 1100 air cooled motor.

I'm in the camp who really likes the look of the new-style monsters. Objectively speaking, I like it better than the looks of the HM. I'm just not sure how the ride is going to compare to the Hyper. The Hyper is probably one of the best bikes for riding around the city. I love the riding position and I love being able to wheelie the thing all over the place.

What do you guys think? Anyone else here considering the trade?

Although I am not considering one the S is very highly speced including the new light weight vacuum formed 3 mm casings found on the 848, she is new tech and 10 kg lighter than the tard.

This really is the new generation of the air cooled monsters!!

I don't think you would feel let down by it at all.

Oh I'm not worried about it letting me down tech-wise at all. I'm just worried that the riding sensation isn't going to match the Hyper. The Hyper feels like riding a high-powered, high-tech dirt bike on the street.

I'm guessing the Hyper will be a better bike for tooling around in the city whereas the Monster would be better out in the canyons and back roads.

The monstas are great, I had an S4 and loved it, I love the Tard a bit more tho cos it seems to induce the stupid little kid in me and with the very sit upright position suits me well (I have a repaired broken neck full of Titanium)

The Monsta will feel more sporty that is for sure but the Tard is a naughty tool

The down side to it is you will be banned from here and no one will talk to you and you will have to wait outside and ....j/k

Best thing to do is go sit on one and take it for a skid and compare, the new bike is certainly nicely speced so it won't be a step down in performance
