Any incite on rearsets
I am in the market for ground clearance, seems like there are a few options out there. Has any one tried the Shift tech pegs ? Tired of grinding my boots before I get my knee down.
Thanks Woolie

I've got some of the Ducati Designs adjustable pegs. I opted for the 50mm risers and am pretty pleased (especially for $170.00). The shift lever can be adjusted for this height but the brake lever can't quite be adjusted high enough, I do however think that with some minor modification it can be done. I don't use the rear brake anyways.

ducatidesigns.com under the Multistrada section, 50mm is about 2 inches so they're up pretty high, I hang off the bike a lot and use all the tire and they don't come close to dragging. I have tried mine in several different positions and I tend to like the straight up position the most.

I have the ShiftTech pegs and I'm very happy with them.I purchased them before I knew about the DucatiDesigns pegs which look very nice as well.Either way, both of these vendors are top notch. My problem was my big feet(14) were cramped on the stock pegs and yes, my boots were contacting the pavement a little more than I liked. With these pegs it's problem solved.

Good question:
Pros:
-Perfect height for me at 5'10"
-Good quality at a good price
-Gives a more natural riding position if you are the "knee down" type
-Still comfortable enough to ride all day
Cons:
-Limited rear brake access
-Pegs will still fold in the event of a crash
-Limited adjustability (with the 50mm version), the 30mm may be a good
choice if you don't need much higher pegs
Yes, I would buy them again because what I was looking for was more ground clearance. Keep in mind that with the limited # of adjustability "slots" the 50mm version really moves the peg forward or backwards a lot, so in the end you pretty much have to use them in the straight up position unless you have really big or really small feet. I was concerned that I would want not only higher pegs but more rearset pegs but afer riding a couple hundred miles I think they are perfect in just the straigh up position. Hope this helps..
