Battleax BT016 or Dunlop Qualifier?

Both sets are about $310 mounted and balanced at my local shop.

Have had Qualifiers on my FZ1 and I liked them, but I am hearing great things about the 016's.

Mainly street use, back roads, some tight mountain riding but not dragging a knees kind of thrashing. An occasional track day.

Want a smooth tire with grip, that holds a line really well but won't wear out in 2,500 miles.

I narrowed it down to these two tires, but am only familiar with 1 of them, but it was not on this bike.

So who has had either tire on their Tard and can attest to one or both of them?

about to replace the stock 014 rear with an 016 tomorrow at the track (assuming I can destroy the 014)

will let you know what i think after the day.

bit upset that the rear alone here costs $310! fitting is free if you take them the wheel tho.

I had Qualifiers on my Hyper and got about 2,500 miles out of them and I HATED the way they felt. The steep front tire made the Hyper feel as I was going to fall over in every turn. Wasn't so bad at the track because we were at speed, but for everyday riding I didn't feel nearly as comfortable.

I've heard good things about the Pirelli Scorpion Syncs and I really like the Pirelli Corsa III's that come on the S model.

My 2 cents

Can anyone tell me how the stock Pirelli's did that come on the "S" model? How many miles?

I have 400 miles on my bike and I haven't had an issue with them rain or shine.

I got about 2000 miles out of them. Included a lot of fun canyon riding and a track day.

i find pumping them up correctly means they don't wear as quickly. I run rear at ~37-38 and they last great. 6000km out of the 014 so far but thats just commuting, when it sqaures up i go hack it.
