Introducing myself.

Hi all.

I just thought I would share my life-changing experience with you aboard a Hyper this summer.

The Hypermotard Demo truck came to my local dealer and I made sure to get there as soon as they opened up. This was my first time on any Duc. We were out for almost 1.5 hours and like I said, it was almost life changing. I had previously only ridden 250cc bikes in class... this was a horse of a different color.

It was perhaps the one of the top three most exhilarating experiences in my life. I was scared out of my mind but high as hell at the same time.

Anyway, it's too much bike for me. I would really like to get aboard a 696 in the near future but I thought I would just introduce myself, say hello, and tell you that I really appreciate your bikes.

When I first saw them on the dealer floors, I didn't understand them. After a good ride, I became a believer.

Cheers!

-Curly

Reminds me of my first ride on a Ducati. Clouds parted, light shined down and my Triumph suddenly felt boring. Dude, it's not to much for you. I ride like a turtle and it's not too much for me

You guys are funny. Thanks for the welcome.

I had a blast and the demo went smoothly but... it IS too much bike. I'm tallish and thin and it would be my first bike. I would be in over my head.

A 696 for me I hope!

Get a 2-3 year old 696 Monster. They are cool bikes and you can pick one up for a great price to get started.

KTM makes a 690 Super Duke that looks cool and is supposed to be a pretty good bike. Kinda spendy for a smaller bore, but probably lots of fun. Aprilia is making a 750 Dorsoduro, that looks cool too.

Out!

Get the Hyper.

Take the spark plug out of one cylinder and you'll be good to go until you're ready for more power!

the Hyper is a very exciting moto to ride.
it brings a smile on my face everytime i ride.
my 1st moto was a Triumph 955i. it was fun, but wasn't for me because when i 1st started riding when i was younger, i rode dirt bikes.
now if the Hyper had the 1098 motor, i'd say that it would be too much for you
