So Cal track day, let's bring some HDD to Fontana!
The last event of the year at the Cali Speedway (now Auto Club Speedway) AMA track. It is Fri-Sat-Sun, Oct 10-12. I am there on Sunday the 12th.
Fastrack Riders that run these events say that there are spots available.
The price may seem high at $269, but it includes more stuff compared to the other track:
-- Short drive, can leave in the morning, so save 1 night in the hotel.
-- Use of teh garage is included, power/water/etc
-- Lap timer is included.
So net-net I'd say it is the same as the other tracks.
Novice Rider school is fool, but I think that even if you haven't been on the track before but have real canyon experience you will be Ok (pls don't sue me though)
Fastrack is run by an Austrian, Matthias, so KTM is a partner. They have dukes and possibly SMs there, so not just liter sport bikes.
If you are around Irvine, we can share a U-haul or Enterprise truck to get there, so that I don't have to aggravate my domestic situation by taking the van from the wife/kids.

Ha! Matthias and KTM are just a coincidence but it is pretty funny I'm biased since we work with Fastrack a lot but they do run a good track day.

isnt that event sold out?
Is Mattias any good? I listened to him at a clinic once and..... not sure...
He contradicted a lot of stuff that Freddie was saying.

Level 2 is sold out. Level 3 still has 10 spots left. Level 1 is open too. You have to call them, online booking is closed. Matthias did teach me a few lines on the track. I think he is good, but it is not about him.

Matthias is good but keep in mind the basics will be the same from everyone but the specifics may differ. You have to kind of find what works for you from what they're teaching to go fast, but just to get the basics of track riding/racing down they're all petty good.
