Does O2 sensor help compensate for elev?

I have the slip-ons and the DP ecu. No O2 sensor. I've noticed that it doesn't run very well at higher elevation. I live at sea level and often go to 8,000 ft. Is the O2 sensor part of the correction for elevation or is there a pressure sensor somewhere on the bike? Will the DP ecu even correct for elevation?

Edit: This is from the service manual...
Removing the air temperature / pressure sensor
To gain access to the air temperature/pressure sensor, remove the headlight fairing (Sect. E 1, Removing the headlight fairing), disconnect the main wiring harness connector (1) at sensor end, unscrew the sensor retaining screw (2) and remove the sensor from the front subframe.

So, even with a PCIII, shouldn't it correct for altitude? Assuming that the DP ecu can....maybe the sensor is broken.

I don't think the O2 sensor has much to do with altitude adjustments, I would think it would take a barometric pressure sensor to adjust the fuel mix via the ECU. There are others more attuned to this on the board and I am sure they will chime in on this with a better explanation.

Because you have a PC111 it basically has the final say in what your fueling does and effectively tells lies to your injection system to correct the fueling that you have programmed / told it to do.

This unfortunately is the not so good side of PC111's.

The only easy way around it is to manually adjust your PC111 by trimming the fuel with the rich ~ lean buttons on the side of the road if you are gonna be at altitude for a while.

Exactly what I did....leaned it out 2 LEDs. That seemed to put me where it should be. Since I go so often, I may look into the multi-map switch that Dynojet puts out.

You are on the case then, no other easy fix unfortunately other than that.

That is quite a variation in height you have too so you are probably at the extreme ends of the spectrum for setup meaning it won't be ideal for everything.
