We had an awesome ride until Alex decided to try and outrun Officer Gonzalez I'll let him tell the story.

Sure was strange actually being able to see Alex the entire ride down the hill. On the way up before the ticket he kept waiting for me on the side of the road with his helmet and boots off, feet propped up, reading the paper & having a beer waiting for me to catch up.

Yes its true, I got a speeding ticket today, 80mph in a 55mph zone, he also

wrote (unsafe speed) B*stard! but I BLAME Mickey! he said that

the CHP presence was down to nothing, not like it was in the summer time,

giving me a false sence of security! after doing 9mi, we came to the "T"

junction for ACH, and then I saw a CHP bike Officer heading down the hill,

so when Mike got there, we headed UP the hill toward Newcombs, thinking

now that its all "clear" apparently the CHP Officer made a U turn and was on

the gas as he went flying by Mikey and a Triumph bike I had passed earlier,

so there I am by myself going at a "moderate" pace, really not even going

that FAST! as we all agreed to slow things down a bit, (because of some

recent incidents) and just having FUN! and according to Mickey, it

took a while for the Officer to catch up to me, and by the time I saw him in

my mirror, the lights were on!when the Officer said he had to "work

hard" to catch up to me, and looked at my rear tire and commented "nice

tire" I knew I was doomed! Well other that, we had a great day, and Mikey

bought me breakfast, (thanks Mike!) I was able to catch the 2nd Superbike

race at PI, and watch Troy Bayless crash his bike on the LAST lap while in 2nd place!

The moral of this story is... when you play you will PAY! Aloha Alex

Alex, if the police ever comment on your rear tire just tell him that you took your bike to the track ... so you don't have to get your jollies on the public roads.
