Hyper "S" Monobloc Brakes - How is the feel?

How are the feel of the Monobloc Brembo front brakes on the Hyper S model and how do they compare to the non"S" Hyper?

Are they a bit touchy or grabby like the 1098 Monobloc's. I realize the rotors are smaller and probably the master cylinder is toned down a bit in size in comparison to the 1098.

Just looking for some feedback!

They're definately a bit grabby until you get used to them. After that, they become extremely easy to modulate. The initial bite is really strong and they have a nice linear feel when adding more pressure to the lever. They're definately some of the best brakes I've used. They're night and day better than the brakes on my 848 were.

We installed these to get rid of some of the grabbiness:

FERODO "CP211-Racing" Brake Pads: M4 Monoblock

These work very well on the 1098 and HM.

They need to be warmed up to get "ultimate" grab--but even cold they stop very well with iron or stainless rotors. Overall they are much more progressive and will reduce the tendency to wash out that front end.

I love them to, especially after getting used too. "Breakdown" is right when he says they are night and day better than the 848 brakes. I just wish I had them on the 848.

My exact same comments, 35 bikes that have owned me and these are the best by far.

I love the S calipers! Definitely my favorite OEM calipers ever.

I either need to clean mine out or get some new pads. Mine are starting to squeal under harder braking. It's strange. I hit the brakes coming towards a stop light and they don't start to squeal until I'm just about stopped. It's not really a big deal but the noise bugs me a bit.
