Dyno results with bad ecu and slipons

Installed termi slipons, ecu and removed the O2 sensor. Turned on the ignition to see if the ECU was still looking for the exhaust valve. It did run thru the exvl check. I set the country code in the ECU to USA. Unplugged the electrical connector from the exhaust valve servo. Got a check engine light on dash so i plugged it back in and decided to just leave the valve intact and operable. Add that i depowered before pulling any connectors. Went to the shop to have the TPS reset and throttle body balanced. He then put the bike on the dyno to set the fuel trim. Performed a few pulls and gave me the bad news. Said my bike was running like another motard they had dynoed. And they put the stock ECU back in to get it running stronger. Showed me the graph and our bikes were identical. So i rode my underpowered hyper home to swap out the ecu and install the o2 sensor. After i was done. Did a search on the forum for bad ecu. Looked as if the exhaust valve was being held closed by the DP ECU. Checked my bike out and sure enough the DP ECU was running the travel check then driving the valve closed. So i drilled and tapped 2 holes on the servo wheel and installed rubber bumpers. Now the ecu would perform the exvl check but not throw a check engine code.
Went back to the dyno to get fuel trimmed and wow what a difference it made.
Now that everythings running good i dont want to deal with getting a new ecu from Ducati. The fuel map seems alright just has the logic for the valve backwards.

So the DP slip-on ECU still goes through the exhaust valve check? Damn. I thought that I could do away with the valve with that ECU. I'm putting on a Leo Vince exhaust this weekend and that removes the exhaust valve. I have a used slip-on ECU that I'll be using with the LV. So am I going to get a check engine light with the valve removed?

Im running the DP ECU. Just had to trick it by giving the exhaust valve motor some stops to hit.

And yeh i was under the impression all the DP ECU's for the hyper did not use the exhaust valve. It may be they have updated the ecu since and i have the old version. When i purchased the termi slipon at the shop, it was in stock. So im thinking they ordered it back when the 1st hyper's came out.

From other threads:

-----

Make sure you know what you get as there 3 DP ECUs:
- the one that comes with the DP underseat exhaust,
- the one with DP race exhaust (DP EVO ECU),
- and the best one that comes with the DP race cam kit (DP RACE ECU).

--------

1) Stock
2) Slip-on = 8% more fuel, no O2 sensor = 96519308B 2-1-2
3) Full system = 8% more fuel, no O2 sensor, no exhaust valve 96518708B =
4) Full sys w Cams = 18% more fuel, no O2 sensor or valve = 96519208B
