A 'what tire" question... no way!
Yeah, it has been asked before.
Not too hapy withthe BT014's. Just don't feel all that great to me.
Tires I have liked on other bikes are the Metzler M3's, the Corsa III's and Qualifiers(the new ones).
Never tried Pilot Powers.
Anyway, looking for a great street tire, good grip, confidence inspiring. I want to have the bike handle like it is on rails, but I don't want to have to replace the tires every 3k miles if possible.
I hear good things about the BT016 too.
Anyone have Qualifiers on their Tard? How do you like them compared to the 014's?
Thanks!

i don't believe there is a sport tire out there that will provide more than 3k miles on a tard ... even the lower end of sport tires (harder compounds) like the stock stones on the standard will only yield 2500 miles if your very lucky. even the duel compound buns like the c2 just don't last on a tard.
so, you have to choose between sticky sport tires, or less sticky higher mileage tires ... unless you go the extreme route of having two sets of wheels/tires and switch between sticky buns for track days and agro street riding ... and higher mileage buns for touring/commuting.
good luck, and post up when you finally decide on which buns you will use.

Under Pressure
Not trying to take this thread off course but, I'm sticking with Michy PP's 2CT's and each new tyre I try running at a different pressure for it's life.
Currently running 38psi (according to my guage) cold in my rear tyre. The results can hardly be 100% conclusive due to summer/winter as well as my ongoing suspension trial and development. At 16,000 klm and looking for my 5th rear and 3rd front in about another 2.5k.

i've got nearly 6000km on the stock 014 rear, its a bit flat now in the middle but thats coz i commute every day and have only been on a few runs out. (bit of a sad fact that)
I've always liked the bridgestones from days on my SV. PP's on my RC51 were the way to go, If I can find a 016 at a good price I'll get it otherwise i'll just hook up another 014 until the front gives out. got to pick one up tomorrow as the one I've got won't last a day at the track.

Ghezzi, that is consistent with what i got with the Corsa IIIs. 4,500 and they were propper fooked, yes like the rabbit. Bike is getting a set of 208GPs fitted today. Will see how they go, should be grippy as hell and are meant to get better wear than the supercorsas

You'd be better off going with the newer 211GP's in the medium/hard compound. They supposedly have a 100% longer life expectancy over the 208's and 209's.
