Going in to buy, how much should I pay
So this weekend I'm hoping to pick up a Hyper... I'm in no big rush so I can shop around ad I'm in L.A so there are about 5 shops relatively close.... I just sold my bike and have all cash if necesary, but may finance half since the interest rate is so low... so what are your opinions on how I should negotiate the purchase and what about the 09 coming out is that some leverage to ask for a lower price.. I'm going for an S... Bottom line what should I offer out the door for a stock S.... I'll talk about a pipe to the sales person after we agree to a price on the bike...

EuroSports in PA (formally Martin EuroSports) has a few in stock. Regulars and S.
$9999 for a regular
$11999 for an S
Can't beat that.

100% agree with PARKCRF. OTD should be close to MSRP (OTD is with tax included). They are cheap in PA, make sure they don't kill you after that with Prep, freight and other BS fees.

sounds very fishy ... are these prices for trashed/used hypertards?
i find it difficult to believe a dealer would sell a new hypertard for less than dealer cost.
if the pricing is for real, and for new hypertards ... crap, put me down for 5 of each.

I shopped around and found a shop with a bunch of stock. Paid $700 less then the next best quote. PM me, they had 6 more S's.

Nope, It's the end of the season, and new 09's will be out soon. Got to sell the left overs...

Those can't be real prices. I've seen the dealer price list and those numbers are well below dealer cost on the bikes. I know the economy is sucking hard but I can't see a dealer selling a fairly popular model at a loss, especially since Ducati themselves are already offering a special interest rate. The only explanation I can see for a dealer quoting prices like that is if they're tacking on a huge setup and freight charge.

If I remember correctly, their setup fee is roughly $500. I was in their shop about 2 weeks ago. I'm seriously tempted to sell my 950SM and pick up the one of the 2 Hyper-S's that they have at $12k!

I was there last week picking up my RSVR from repair. The price tags were on the bikes. $9999 for a regular and $11999 for an S. Chris (the salesman), told me they are on sale to make room for the new 09s. They have about 4. I am waiting for my insurance settlement so I can buy another one. So far Eurosports in PA seems as a very honest dealer.
Give them a call.
