Leo Vince & Hello
Just purchased a new Hyper black to go with my Yellow 1098. I am curious about the Leo Vince system. I am looking at that with a cat eliminator and the DP cams with ECU. Is anyone running this config? If so how is the performance and the extra pipe on the left? The other system I thought is the Zard Penta. Any advice or opinions would be great.
Thanks

There is an ECU on eBay for sale. You will need it if you purchase a can other than a Termi from DP.
The Zard stuff is made really well and looks great. I have the Top Guns. You can get the stuff from Desmoworks.
The LV makes some nice HP and is less expensive than most systems. I don't think it looks as good as other choices and some people have had problems with the pip hitting their huggers.
Out!

Love my Leo's. Full system with midpipe/cat eliminator. No other mods other than dropping a tooth on the front sprocket. LV tests their kits with the stock ecu and I saw no reason to change anything. Mind you I never had it dyno'd, but that being said, I'm happy with the power delivery and throttle response. It also sounds WAY better than the Termi's IMHO. With or without the restrictor... but without it's LOUD. As for hitting the rear hugger... yeah, it hits a bit, but big deal. I think they look great and the craftsmanship and fit are top notch.
Go for it,
B
PS: Instructions were a bit tough to read (postage stamp schematic) but any one of us who've done the install can help.

Thanks for the input. I would also be adding the DP race cams & ECU so either system should work. IMHO they both look good I was just not sure about the way LV has the two pipes under tail.
I was going to put the Zard on my 1098 but found a good deal on a set of Graves. There was no need for additional power on the 1098 (unless you run a lot of fast tracks). The Hyper does feel a little under powered and I think exhaust and cams would do the trick.

AXE, does Desmoworks sell a ECU that works with the Top Gun? If so, how much is the whole pkg? I currently have the stock ECU with just a Leo Cat Eliminator. I eventually want to get the DP airbox lid and the Top Gun, and whatever ECU that is necessary.

On LV's website I found only two options and they both appeared to be slip ons....do they sell a full system on the website?
thanks!

LV only makes the slip on and a cat eliminator. They don't have a full system.

don't see any good reason to toss the stock headers anyway.

I didn't replace the headers. But when a pipe goes back to the midpipe and replaces the cat, I normally refer to it as a "full" vs. a "slip on"... where just the cans get slipped on... semantics.
My bad.

I think I will go with the Zard Top Gun full system and DP cams & ECU.
